    Lol, this brought me back to when I worked at a retirement home.

    We had one gentleman who was 100+.

    I realized he was old enough to have known civil war veterans.

    I asked him if he’d ever met a civil war vet. He thought I’d asked him if he’d fought in the civil war, lmao.

    Eventually, he told me he only ever saw them in parades.

    I felt a little nervous to ask who was in the parade.

    He was very proud to say, “The good guys, obviously. It was New York.”

    I got to know him more over time and learned that he was super progressive and loved to use the internet. It’s cool to know there’s a few good apples every once in a while.

    The greatest argument against “solving” old-age: if 80 years old Conservatives controlling the world is bad, imagine 800 years old Conservatives controlling the world.
