Today’s game is R.E.P.O. Me and some friends have been playing the latest update. We saw there were some changes made along with some QOL features added at the suggestion of the community which we were excited for. It’s kind of nice to see a developer as active within the community as they are. I feel like all the stories i hear about developers this active in the community i miss the bus for.

At this point the game is kind of a social game for us. Trying to complete the goal is like the last objective we do (because there’s not much at the later levels besides it being longer). Like in the screenshot above for example i built a wall of doors to fuck with my teammates coming back. They all ended up getting penned in and dying to the clown (we all thought it was funny though, so no hard feelings)

On another level i rigged up a trap with a door and a land mine behind it. I announced that “no one could get through my door barricade” followed by the person with the cart ramming it into the trap and setting it off, blowing up not only them but also everything in the cart. (They also all found this funny, so no hard feelings)

Our run for the night though ended when i tried to turn my trapping skills against the monsters. There was one called the Trudge (big guy who’s really dangerous) so i was waiting in front of the pit to blast him. Somehow he saw me though and managed to kill me. everyone except one guy was dead, so it was down to him.

And he ended up dying to the huntsman (a enemy that shoots you if you make a sound). This was almost straight after i died and we all were telling him “be careful, there’s a huntsman nearby”, His reaction was to go “WHAT? THERE’S A HUNTSMAN NEARBY?” and that got him shot.

Is it worth playing the new update for new content or should I wait a bit longer? idk if there’s enough new content to tell friends to get on.
