Ask Lemmy@lemmy.world•What's a time you stuck to your principles despite it being inconvenient to you?
25·9 months agoI run Linux on main. Started 2 months ago because it represents the kind of world I want to live in. I’ve stuck with it despite the fact that it feels like I’m computing on hard mode at times.
This is exactly what is happening to me. The wifi turns off and the only way to fix it is a pull-the-plug power cycle.
Thanks for the advice but I’m pretty bitter about how it all went down. I’m gonna look elsewhere for network hardware.
I just got screwed over when my UDR failed after 2.5 years and they refuse to do anything about it because it is just out of warranty. Their tech support admitted it was a hardware failure but they are refusing to replace it.
I’d be really wary about investing in their hardware. I never had something break on me so soon.
Best of luck out there.

9·2 years agoI see the question as, you say you are lobbying the government to simplify the tax code but this is actually what simplifying the tax code would look like. The subtext is, y’all aren’t doing what you claim.
Overall I think the guy came off pretty poorly throughout the interview.
Yeah. The Atlantic kinda sucks.
Would someone elucidate as to what this means for a normie PC gamer and begrudging windows user?
This would be a great start. Strong Antitrust = Competition.
I like organic maps but I really need traffic data in order to plan routes around my city. As far as I can tell there is no way to get traffic data into organic maps.
Organic maps has turn by turn but does not route based on traffic.

This was tough to learn. He was my para social grandpa. What a letdown. Also, can’t he just Google around and learn that Kirk was an a-hole?
