2·7 months agoI’m curious, what’s your problem with images in Hugo? I use hugo for my site too and have no issue just including an image like you would with any web page.
At least on top you can see where you’re going.

Ask Lemmy@lemmy.world•Traveling to Hong Kong and Shenzhen, tech prep?
3·7 months agoI’ve been a few times and crossed that border once, only with a phone and maybe kindle but never had a device searched or even looked at. Also on my latest trip last September I got an esim through airalo which didn’t block access to any websites.
It’s called job security

Asklemmy@lemmy.ml•What tool or website did you find this year that made your year?
4·8 months agoI use ReadYou without syncing with any backend, just keeping everything on my phone.
As for feeds, I enjoy Pluralistic, Where’s your ed at, a whole bunch of random personal tech blogs, The Radavist’s ride section, the top posts from the last month on Lobste.rs, and I use it as a read later via my Firefox bookmarks and a little program I wrote, among many others.

6·11 months agoIf you’d like to embed Servo in your own application, consider using tauri-runtime-verso, a custom Tauri runtime, or servo-gtk, a GTK4-based web browser widget.

Asklemmy@lemmy.ml•What's the most ridiculous reason why someone sent you death threats?
18·1 year agoNot sent, but I had an old guy follow me 5 minutes down the road and threaten to kill me to my face because I apparently bumped into him in a busy station.
I use this all the time, it’s great.

Technology@lemmy.ml•Remember when flip phones came with a second battery that you can swap in when the first one dies?
3·1 year agoAnd it was very easy to repair.

Mechanical Keyboards@lemmy.ml•Does anyone actually use a 60% or less for programming work?
16·2 years agoI use a 40% (corne specifically) for full time dev work. I use (neo)vim so I don’t really need any of the keys you mentioned apart from some function keys, for which I only have to hold one modifier and having them closer to the home row is much more comfortable.

Ask Lemmy@lemmy.world•What is your solution to the problem in the world you're the most vocal about?
4·2 years agoWhat’s the difference?
Anti car doesn’t mean completely banning cars. Nobody is saying to replace ambulances with bus trips. There’s obviously a need and cars would be much more effective for those things if the roads weren’t clogged with people who don’t have a need.

151·2 years agoFast & frequent public transport, safe cycling infrastructure, footpaths, just putting things closer together to reduce the need for transport
