Games@lemmy.world•Why so many Steam games have weirdly similar (and forgettable) namesEnglish
8·14 days ago“Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines” would like to have a word.
I gotta be honest though. Neither of those names strike as particularly bad. JRPGs are way worse (not even mentioning mobile games).

Mildly Infuriating@lemmy.world•PTA went way too hard on the AI flyers. This was the fifth in just over a week.English
6·27 days agoIf I wanted to make flyers that instantly make people cringe, I’d just do the ol’ Word Art and color gradients.
Well, I got chipped with Bill Gates’ COVID vaccine, so… Best of both worlds.

That’s is the thing: I typically don’t find new feeds unless I specifically look for them (using web search, podcast websites etc). It leaves me the fuck alone, and I love that about RSS.

For this reason, I maintain that “The Lawyer” would be a more fitting nickname for James Harden than “The Beard”.

Short and to the point. Gotta hand it to you.
For sure, I do. I also think that’s normal, because you sometimes need filler to let your brain catch up with your words. The filler words I find annoying are the ones that don’t “fit” the context, but that’s subjective, and younger people probably think “low-key” fits more often than I do.
Wow, I didn’t know about either, Wikipedia speedruns or JKR’s Holocaust denialism. Thanks, OP.

Kids today will never know the horror of having to sit through Crazy Frog TV commercials.
You know shit’s fucked when the discount is larger than the original price.

Steam Hardware@sopuli.xyz•[Discussion] What games are you playing on your Deck or Machine? - September 2026
2·1 month agoYour experience with Vampire Survivors matches mine really well. It did hook me, but soon after, I started to feel like I was in this “ooh, piece of candy” gag on Family Guy. Almost like a gambling-induced dopamine rush, which is when I noticed that I wasn’t actually having fun.

4·1 month agoI also ran it on the deck before but did not enjoy how stuttery it became in Act 3. Streaming is more smooth, in my experience, and allows you to play the game at higher settings. At the deck’s native resolution, I can basically max everything.

As someone who’s in the same boat as you, what makes you think you’ve got it, out of curiosity (unless you don’t want to share, which is completely fine too)?
