    dbzer0 has weird vibes in general IMO. Their whole stance on gen AI feels super weird for anarchists to have to at least in its current form. Idk I didn’t keep a main on there for very long for a reason.

      Same, back when people requested to defed hex and their admins stood by the hex instance I knew I had to leave.
      They claim to be anarchists, but I swear it’s just to fool people.

        So what are they then, do you think? Genuine question btw, as someone who is only starting to try to open my eyes here to see whatever is going on with it. Be as precise as you can possibly be.

        I’m sure if I asked one of those admins directly I would be told that I simply do not properly understand anarchy… which would also be correct (in my case:-).

        I also find it odd that while a bunch of instances opened up PieFed alternatives, e.g. World and Zip, dbzer0 did not.

          I think actual anarchist would not support instances dedicated to spread propaganda and those who encourage harrassing others.
          I honestly don’t know what label would fit them and I don’t think it matters.
          People and groups may label themselves or get labeled one way or another, I only care about what they do and the way they do things. They doing these kinds of things only tells me they are not people I want to side with.

          Also the whole sidding with AI and crypto as if that would be “true anarchism” is questionable at minimum.

    Literally the number one community on anarchist.nexus is devoted to internecine “warfare” against communities that Unruffled and friends don’t like.

    I actually agree that it’s a bad thing, all the incessant bitching to an echo-chamber audience saying whatever community is full of people who are pieces of shit and stupid and wrong. I don’t think it leads to any good things. But yes, one of the gossipiest of the gossips getting all upset about how there’s too much gossip and sniping is hilarious.

      !yepowertrippinbastards@lemmy.dbzer0.com has to be honest somewhere. The admins of that instance would probably have to jump in once in a while when things go out of hand.

      If an admin of SJW made such comment, would people have the same criticism due to !meanwhileongrad@sh.itjust.works being hosted there?

        It’s not just that it is hosted there, it’s that this particular admin is active in the community and super passionate about constantly browbeating “shitlibs” which in his cosmology is most of the instances on Lemmy.
