I know I can Google it, but uhhhhh I’m lazy and wanna help drive Lemmy engagement:
Wasn’t there a multiplayer Resident Evil game wherein you could get bit and become a zombie? But like… it was ahead of its time kinda because you needed 4(?)+ PlayStations on a LAN to play it?
I remember it looked fun, and iirc reviews said it was fun, but they gave it low reviews ‘cause of the hardware hurdle.
Anyways… did anyone ever mod that into a playable, non-LAN experience one can enjoy from their PCs? If so… I’d totally put up a game date on here for that.
I might go search for my own answer and edit it into this if my phone doesn’t die.
Edit: looks like there is a fan-made pc port of it, but getting it setup looks like a bit of a project. hmmmmm
Was that Outbreak?
I have one memory of playing that (or something similar to it) as a kid, where my character was stuck in a state where I needed another player to help them up. I remember the computer controlled companion just saying the “no” voice line every time I called for help, until I ran out of time and died.
