It works with non-steam games and the trackpad might even work without steam on Linux, but it will most certainly not work on Windows without Steam and if you want to customize your buttons with steam input, you need to launch the game through steam, which is able to launch none-steam binaries.
I like it. But if it can’t work as a standard gamepad without Steam then it’s not worth it for me.
I don’t need the fancy features, but standard compatibility like an xbox controller (without third party tools).
