🧿Can We really solve real life problems with Monero?

Hello, I’m Edmond Anthony, the Co-founder of Greenlife Africa. I hold a degree in computer science and have over eight years of experience as a software developer. I’ve been a Blockchain enthusiast since 2015. Additionally, I am an author and have a lifelong interest in studying the mind.

I’m excited to present our project, for which we’ve initiated this Fundraiser. We’ve divided the project into two main stages.

Stage 1, known as Greenlife Tv, which is already operational and has been running for close to 18 months now.

Our current attention, however, is directed towards the second stage of our project, which we’ve named Greenlife Africa. With Greenlife Africa, our objective is to broaden the influence and reach of Greenlife TV. We believe that with this extension, we will be able to make an even greater impact and touch more lives positively.

💎 Who We Are

Greenlife TV is a Pan-African Internet-based television broadcasting platform currently based in Nigeria. Our main objective is to use the power of the internet to project and promote Africa’s positive side, rich culture and creativity, to Africans and the global society at large. With Greenlife Tv we aim to counter the influx of negative news by spreading positivity and uplifting messages while also promoting the adoption of cryptocurrency specifically Monero in Africa, by sharing educational contents.

💣 Below, I’ll briefly explain what we’re developing and our plans for expanding Greenlife TV into Greenlife Africa.

Greenlife Africa is a versatile platform currently being developed with Web3 technology, offering features such as an e-commerce marketplace, e-learning, Crypto and Fiat payments, live stream services, blog, films, music, and videos. Our ultimate aim is to address the wastage of human resources and solve real-life problems with practical solutions using Cryptocurrency specifically Monero. The mission is to promote positivity, raise awareness about mental health, present a positive image of Africa, and encourage Monero adoption in Africa and the global society.

😱  There are a couple of problems we intend to solve with Greenlife Africa which are:

1- Price: Price is important to customers when buying a product or service.

2- Quality: In recent times there has been an influx of fake or inferior qualities of products in Africa.

3- Connectivity: There is a significant gap between sellers and buyers of services in the African digital marketplace.

4- Financial inclusion, lack of proper understanding and widespread adoption of Cryptocurrency, specifically Monero in Africa.

5- Education: There’s a lack of properly organized, specialized practical knowledge on how to live a successful life, acquire skills, and start and run a small or large business.

6- Mental Health: A comprehensive survey reveals that three out of every five Africans experience fear, anxiety, depression, and mental stress, leading to unhappiness and frustration. There is also a rise in mental health issues, drug abuse, and domestic violence in Africa. These struggles are attributed to negative belief systems developed from exposure to negative environmental stimuli and media content.

💡To solve these problems, we’re developing a platform where:

1 - Users save money when buying a product or service.

2 - We perform quality control of all products and services offered by vendors.

3 - We connect businesses and service providers to customers.

4 - Users have access to Monero payment to encourage financial inclusion and adoption of Monero.

5 - Our users acquire the necessary skills to live a happy and successful life. They will learn how to start and manage a business, regardless of its size, and gain a deep understanding of Web3 technology.

6 - Our users will gain access to content that raises awareness among Africans about the critical importance of mental well-being. They will also have access to mental health professionals. Furthermore, we will offer content to help combat drug abuse and guide on reporting domestic violence. We will regularly deliver content focused on nurturing mental health and our materials will act as transformative tools, aiding Africans in shifting their belief systems towards positivity.

👁To bring our vision and mission to life, we are developing the Greenlife Africa platform with several categories:

Home:

1- Integrating the current Greenlife TV with the expanded platform.

2- Marketplace for physical Art and NFTs.

3- Models: A segment for models to create portfolios and connect with brands.

4- Listing and booking services for photographers.

5- E-learning.

6- Green Pad: Housing for rent, for sale, hotels and serviced apartments.

7- Green Food: Food, drinks, and groceries.

8- Green Care: Services related to mental health, physical health, drug abuse, and domestic violence.

9- Fashion-related services.

10- Events: Events coverage, location rentals, equipment rental, and ticket sale services.

11- Green Pay: A Web3 payment platform for Africa, that allows receiving, transferring, storing, and exchanging cryptocurrencies, specifically Monero. It also enables bill payments, online transactions and a point of sale feature.

♻️ Each feature of our web app complements the others. For instance, models on our platform model for our fashion vendors while photographers capture images of the models and the products on our marketplace. The Greenpay web3 payment segment will serve as a bridge for the purchase of goods and services listed on our platform. Also our referral/affiliate program to boost adoption.

Note: Currently, we are developing the Greenlife Africa Web app, which is 60% complete. We plan to launch the Greenlife Africa web app in Q3 2024. Our strategy is to begin with the web app in order to test the market, explore, and gather feedback. While the web app is in operation, we will concurrently develop our iOS and Android apps in the background.

🔋What benefits will Greenlife Africa bring to the Monero ecosystem?

According to Chain Analysis and Reuters, the 2023 Global Crypto Adoption Index ranked Nigeria second overall. Nigeria also ranked first for P2P Exchange Trade Volume. Furthermore, a September report from Chainalysis stated that Nigeria’s crypto transaction volume grew 9% year-over-year, reaching $56.7 billion between July 2022 and June 2023.

Africa, particularly Nigeria, represents a significant untapped market for cryptocurrencies and Web3 technologies, including the Monero Ecosystem. Africans are seeking solutions that integrate Web3 seamlessly into their everyday lives, and Greenlife Africa aims to provide such solutions. By supporting Greenlife Africa’s initiative to develop a Web3 platform tailored to African needs, Monero can penetrate this large and unique market. This expansion will promote the adoption and usage of Monero for everyday transactions and as a store of value within Africa.

💵 Our budget and how it will be distributed:

1- Studio and video production equipment:

1 Camera - 4.92 XMR

2 Tripods - 0.92 XMR

1 Gimbal - 1.23 XMR

2 Studio Light - 1.23 XMR

1 Computer - 3.08 XM

3 Microphones - 0.92 XMR

1 Mixer - 1.23 XMR

In February our Camera was stolen and due to this we’ve been unable to create and produce our usual video content. This setback has significantly affected our operations, as video content is a critical aspect of our work at Greenlife TV. Furthermore, it has also disrupted our ability to cover events, which is a major source of income for us. As a result of our camera being stolen, our income generation has sadly taken a hit, which has, in turn, affected our capacity to effectively run and manage the operations of Greenlife TV.

2 - Electricity: Solar system - 8 XMR

Due to unstable electricity in Nigeria, there are times when we only have electricity for 8 hours a day, and sometimes we don’t have electricity for up to a week. In the past, we used a gasoline generator to fill the gap when there is no electricity. However, since May 2023, the price of gas has almost tripled, making it difficult for us to bridge the gap. As a result, the development of the Greenlife Africa web app has been slower than expected. Installing a solar system will help reduce costs and improve efficiency.

3 - Starlink internet : 2.46 XMR

(Currently our Internet infrastructure Speed and efficiency in Nigeria is lacking and due to this we have slow development) so getting a Starlink internet will improve the speed of our development and overall productivity.

4 - Web Hosting for 12 months and development tools: 6.77 XMR

🔸 Our total budget for this phase and our Fundraising request is: 30.78 XMR. This funding will help us in achieving our vision and mission.

🚚  Deliverables:

🎥 1) - 5 Videos and 5 Blog contents produced by us tailored to our African audience to explain how Monero works and how Monero can bring a lasting change to the African society and economy (which will be available on our platforms 30 days after our fundraiser is complete)

🖥️ 2 - The completion of Greenlife Africa Web App in Q3 2024.

3 - Monero will be displayed as our sponsor on Greenlife Tv Platforms.

Conclusion:

The one asset you cannot accumulate, recover, or build is time. You also know that what you can do with time is avoid wasting it. That means leveraging every workday minute to the maximum. The purpose of our request for this fundraising campaign is to do just that.

Thank you for taking the time to read through our Fundraising campaign and for considering it. We are enthusiastic about the opportunity to make a positive impact in Africa and the global web3 community, with the support of the Monero community.

Telling someone to “grow up”. And then telling them that they’re opinions are wrong. For merely critizing your incredibly suspicious web application and fundraising event. Isn’t going win anyone over.
