Fun fact, it’s at least partially based on the CIAs long-running (and successful) remote viewing program

Describing the Stargate Project as successful is really stretching the meaning of that word. The whole thing was an absolute trashfire from the get-go.

It was obviously designed to distract from any rumors of a Stargate program underneath NORAD in the Cheyenne Mountain complex.

The specifics would be classified, but the program ran from 1977 until it was leaked in 1995, and was funded on a yearly basis based on the performance of the past year. 18 years is a long time to fund a program that apparently amounted to nothing.

And according to the civilian researchers that were part of it, it didn’t really end, they just ditched the civilians and kept going.

If anybody wanted to check out the files: https://www.cia.gov/readingroom/collection/stargate

They funded MKUltra for 20 years and only discovered a couple new torture methods that aren’t any more effective than the ones they already used. Don’t underestimate the US government’s ability and willingness to waste money.

geting c/noncredibledefense here but i think that was rather just a cover story for financing some spy sats.

Maybe, but satellites are expensive. According to the documentary Third Eye Spies, the program didn’t cost more than a dozen people’s salaries.

Just because it ran long doesn’t mean that it yielded important results. the real catch is that people can fraud the government and remote viewing is essentially a contract scam done on the government. not that I care or have a stake (I’m Canadian), just pointing out that long time researching != important or study worthy
