It seems like a weird question, but other than a couple of users who I recognize on Lemmy, the rest seems to be robotic.

I think it is because lemmy lacks an algorithm that boosts personalized “interesting” content. Lemmy is just a timeline sorted according to criteria which are not personalized to you. This leads to your perception of un-interesting stuff dominating, which might be true for your personal experience. You need to actively search for communities, which are of interest to you, which is difficult and requires effort. People are not used to this from algorithmically automated content farms like reddit. !communitypromo@lemmy.ca
