Before anyone says it, I already have Fedora in another drive (which I will remove to install windows, dont worry) so no need to suggest linux.

Basically the last time I tried 24H2 was earlier this year from a forced update and it sucked balls, major performance issues in most games. I heard that a fresh install could fix this but I really couldnt be bothered so I reverted and blocked updates. But now thanks to my shitty chinese NVME that died with 30TBW with 2 years of use, I have an opportunity to install windows fresh. Should I even try 24H2 again? Better to install 23H2 offline and block feature updates again?

you can disable it via windows registry but it’s not a method I like to recommend, given that it’s a beneficial technology.

After several hours of struggling with a ton of stuff, I played MH Wilds with 24H2 and it ran fine? Game’s performance sucks but this isnt any better or worse than 23H2, a win I guess?

I’m glad to hear. I gather wilds was recently updated (within the last two or so months) to address much of the performance woes? I’m sorry to hear that hasn’t really materialised.

I recently sent a copy to a friend with a modest setup hoping it would now run fine on their hardware :/

Its a little better, for me at least, but for a lot of people it actually got worse /shrug

MH World took years to run reasonably well on PC so I’m keeping my hopes up.

will keep an eye on its activity. Suppose it is a fairly recent entry in the series so there’s a decent chance it will continue to improve, as you’ve mentioned.

I assume it will, like Worlds. Should be good 6 months after the expansion comes
