Addition: the more I look at it the less crazy an idea it is to me. Not only am I certain that it could be built to this scale, and work. It might even handle a big enough projectile to, like, matter quite a bit to its target on a good shot. Practical? No, lol, but a fun project. I might try to design a pistol sized one too.
