And, seeing the post reminded me of why I am banned and can’t respond on .ml with my feelings about it. That reason is: Someone some days ago posted a genuinely hopeful article about how these somewhat-leftist candidates are actually winning in America now, which really doesn’t happen all that often, and then this transpired:

I am not at all surprised to see that geneva_convenience is involved in posting this one too. It is getting downvoted on the “main” instances but not on lemmy.ml, which I think is part of the point of the banning and similar.
Geneva seems to be on some sort of crusade against Mamdani, Bernie and AOC (“fake leftists” I guess?), to the point of promoting some asswipe who is associated with Peter Thiel that is currently pretending to be a progressive (Ro whatever their last name was, they’re not worth remembering) while attacking the former three. No amount of progress is enough, nothing short of violent revolution would be for him.
For a group of idiots that constantly scream about “left unity” when called out by actual leftists, tankies sure love to attack them.
