The firmware is released and Open Centuari Project is chugging along. There will be no AMS and you’ll need a carbon 2 for that . . . what are people’s thoughts and feelings? Personally, I still really like the printer and multicolor has never been on my radar. I recently updated to the latest firmware and can turn the light off and on while printing and have been enjoying that. I am interested in the community efforts and when the company upsets me enough, I may go whole hog into that but for now, I’m just making stuff and having fun. Where is everyone else at?

I bought one to add to my pile of ender 3s and I’m pretty impressed. Fans are loud as shit, but prints as well as any other corexy for CHEAP. Is it the best printer out there? No, but it’s great for 99% of projects, and like you said the open centauri project I’d making good headway since the firmware was released.

If I was serious about multicolor I wouldn’t have bought a mono printer.

It made no sense to base a $300 purchase on the possibility that I might later spend $400 to upgrade it.

If I ever get serious about multicolor I’m going to want some sort of tool changer anyway.

Not a Carbon user but they haven’t said it won’t ever be available:

“And we cannot guarantee a release date for the multicolor system so far.”

It’s why I bought an Anycubic despite other brands being better. Their AMS was available instead of only a promise like other brands.
