Took it to my local mechanic who said: “That fucker’s fucking fucked!”
In the face of such deep technical knowledge (and the fact that the work would have cost more than the car was worth at that point), I reluctantly let it go to scrap.
I mean if the mechanic said it like that the radiator might have gone hard enough to cause severe overheat problems. Blown head gasket, cracked cylinder, something like that maybe.

How sad, radiators are super easy to replace

To be fair, I didn’t know how easy radiator replacement was till like, last year
