OK cool, so you see how it’s probably actually the majority that understands the physical/digital trade-off, and they’re ok with it.

Anti competitive? What? Lol. How?
RAM makers are free to sell their entire allocation to a single buyer if they want. You’re telling me that you want the government to make laws to prevent that? What would that law look like?
Do you even realise what you’re saying? You want the government to come in and tell companies who to sell their product to and how much they get. That is absolutely fucking laughable. That’s not what a government is for lol

Accusing trump of causing the AI RAM-pocalypse is nothing other than TDS.

Tariffs on RAM and semiconductors haven’t even started yet you turkey lol.
As I said, RAM prices have exploded all over the world. Trumps tariffs don’t affect other countries. They exploded BEFORE any tariffs were announced. The announced tariffs haven’t even begun being enforced yet lol

Nah most people understand how digital stuff works compared to physical, since every other media format has already gone through this transition. People know that songs and movies get removed from streaming services and digital stores. People know how it works on steam and mobiles, which have been digital only for years.

Even less people care about blu-ray movies than care about physical games.

Or they completely understand and are ok with it.

You want $300 games? Cause that’s how you get $300 games lol.

Aren’t they going to still sell boxed copies with a digital code inside them? Like what GTA6 is doing.
That gives retailers the ability to have pricing competition, and could result in lower digital prices on PSN too - unless sony prevents them from being sold below their PSN price.

That only works for launch machines that have never been updated though.

If the product is fine then who cares what “shady” brand is on it. Most knock-offs you’ll find on Amazon aren’t just as good as the original. Same with AliExpress. Half the time they’re literally the same product, just without the “not shady brand name”.

IT is a giant umbrella. Many of those things you listed are absolutely part of “IT”.
That’s all well and good, but a smash brothers clone is very different to CoD or Battlefield in this regard.
Client side anti-cheat is absolutely needed in FPS/TPS. Without it, server side anti-cheat would have to do far more and quietly be much harder to do.

So you think they should have made laws to stop AI companies from buying hardware? Based on what? Why?
You can’t blame an administration for companies buying things from other companies in bulk lol. You do not want a government making ad-hoc laws to stop things like that, that is an absolutely insane thing to even suggest.
It has nothing to do with trump. How about you try and look at things not just through a “how can I blame this on trump?” lense?

Tariffs have nothing to do with it, clearly, when countries other than the US have the same prices and issues with RAM and other pc parts.

You think Trump is responsible for AI companies buying all the RAM and SSDs?
TDS at its best.

In many contexts it is.
Windows Phone sold millions of phones, yet it was almost nobody in terms of the market, and as such basically no app developers supported it.

They said the USB ports didn’t work as they didn’t have the drivers.
A resurgence that’s still a rounding error in size compared to digital.
