D4 also had a DLC recently. Yes the D2 update was just now so its spike is newer but it’s not meaningless that D2 has surpassed D4.

Out of all the digital stores Steam arguably offers by far the most actual functionality and features for its cut. It’s still too high, but it’s possibly the least egregious example vs Apple, Google etc

Boiling the frog

Like many others, I switched away recently after years of Mozilla’s constant suckery. Fed up with dealing with their constant terrible decisions.
Ngl I kinda like the ‘empty’ feeling I get from the unfinished version too

The Deck also has a weaker but lower wattage chip and worse display, that makes a big difference.
Yeah I love LibreOffice’s customisability including sidebar etc, but OnlyOffice just performs a lot better and handles the most common formats better for me

Trying, not releasing

It’s cos they’re privately owned and so don’t necessarily have to be shit, where publicly owned companies are legally required to maximize profits for shareholders.

Definitely part of it, but they also compare to other laptops with similarly sized displays etc and it is larger and heavier despite being less powerful than many of them. Obviously that’s because it’s modular and will be more powerful in future as a result too, but still fair to point out.
Rip the people who suffer both, simultaneously.

To be fair, Chrome was vastly superior to Firefox for ages in the early 2010’s

I really don’t understand how things like this get made.
Like I understand that there are tonnes of rich people with zero brainpower who fund this sorta crap, but how do the people creating it ever think anything other than ‘this concept is shit and nobody will ever want this’???

The limited benchmarks I’ve seen put the new X Elite at slightly less efficient than the M2 Pro (let alone M3 Pro). It only gets marginally higher scores when operating at 3x the wattage.
Also, let’s not imagine even for a second that notoriously terrible ARM are going to make it easy to support this chip, especially not in the long term.

Transmission is awesome because it’s simple. It only does what you need and has the best UI for doing so.
Xbox is just going to be a brand/publisher I reckon.
There’ll be ‘Xbox verified’ console PCs or somesuch that aren’t necessarily made by Microsoft, and there’ll be the Xbox app for games and streaming, and Xbox published games.
And then another 5-10 years later they’ll phase that out and just be ‘Microsoft Gaming’ or somesuch branded, and the last traces of Xbox will be gone.
