Ok now this is interesting.
I’m not knocking anubis but anubis seems very one-note, a single step. Pangolin looks more encompassing.

Only safeline’s webui is open source, and the dev is a little odd. Just like tailscale, I don’t like closed source reliance. I’ve been referred to open-appsec as an open alternative, but I’m not sure on them either.
…asterisk? The proxy everyone uses, the middleware that detects bots and such before letting you through. Their bread and butter. I’m not sure of any formal name.
I do like how all of piracy is nautical themed.
Radarr, Sonarr, Torrent, FunkWhale, subsonic, Jellyfin, etc.
Let’s be honest. Soon, Subnautica 2 will be on the front page of Steam, likely for a month or more. People who have no idea any of this is happening, nor care will buy it up in droves and in six months, none of this will matter, and you’ll all have likely pirated it by then anyway.
You can pick the element out with ublock and the elements blocking the page.
“I ACCEPT NOTHING! NOT EVEN YOUR POPUP!”
a weather modification company
An entire company? Conveniently and lawfully registered in Florida?
(it can be a Simpsons reference if you dream hard enough)
You just need a window into their world.
Carry your Linux phone and tether it to an old android, install what you need and turn it off.
carry two things, like some kind of asshole that carries two things!?
When I was 19, we all carried cameras and mp3 players around too. It’s hardly a stretch.
Look into M-Disk.
100-120GB Blurays.
Yes, indeed, why would you?
They’re basically bulletproof, hard drives can corrupt slowly over time, and you may not realize that one file among thousands no longer functions or opens. Those solve that issue cheaper and more environmentally than a NAS, especially of you want to archive sensitive and personal data.
Not in the least bit true with phones, cars and computers. TVs have gotten extremely cheap compared to what they were when I was coming up, but I’d still take a healthy 1080p panel from 2015 over a born-to-fail $300 4k piece of trash made yesterday.
Basically, quality. We dipped quality into the gutter for quicker turnarounds and cheaper sales. Everything made today is basically shit.
EU only
Ebay it is. Bands are what matter. If it picks up Tmobile, Tello and the like, who cares who’s market it’s for?
But really, for me, it’s still Android. It’s just a band-aid on the bigger problem of reliance on Google.
So… we are nearly there but unless you have a very VERY minimum usage of your phone, basically a dumb phone with a bit of CLI to remote connect to your own server from time to time, it’s probably not practical for now.
…and, that’s me.
I gave up on my phones. There’s no way to remain connected to the modern world and my own without just keeping everything off of my phone and using it entirely in stock NPC mode. Trackers? Adware? Malware? Doesn’t matter, I only use it for calls, banking apps and cash apps. How do I access my personal, more 1337 haxxor shit?
Laptop, although I can do a lot of work over ssh on phones and use things like syncthing and nextcloud to get around the ecosystem, still, but for the most part, I’m back in 2007, baby! We’re carrying messenger bags! We don’t care!

I asked Gemini, and my browser crashed, so, idk, man I guess it’s knowledge too powerful for human minds to contain.
Start randomly insulting eachother and gaslight one another in comment sections. You’ll build up the hate in no time at all.
Or rather,… iOS isn’t
I need a deadman switch… maybe watch a log file for a program I use daily or something.

You need to?

Lemmy is, in my belief, the next incarnation of the slowly moving train of society that at one point began on UBB boards.
Basically, community-built communiy.
I believe in that front and cause. Social media should be entirely owned by the users participating with it.
