Besides the cost of terminals, this problem has been solved by starlink and soon project kuiper.

¯\_(ツ)_/¯ , I can do every normal thing I wanna do in a GUI on Fedora
Linux phones are coming along, Posh is very promising and helping make Linux on mobile possible https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Phosh
Glad you got it under control without the pills that made you feel bad. Happy for you
Counterstrike 2 is native to Linux, doesn’t use proton so should have 0 preforman impact
Actually it is 100% that simple, proton has fixed gaming on Linux.
It doesn’t work for a few rare games that install a rootkit on your Windows PC, but that’s already silly and irresponsible of you to allow a game to do anyway, in my opinion.
¯\_(ツ)_/¯ great question
Nvidia’s biggest product is absolutely AI by a massive landslide, I’m pretty sure I read that the point of them downloading these videos and doing the training is to build a pipeline for their AI users to do the same with their own shit. (Can’t be bothered to double-check cuz I really don’t care)
So they aren’t downloading all this video to make a crazy AI model. They’re downloading all this video to make a tool for their AI customers to use, you may not agree but improving their product is exactly what they’re doing.
What do you mean “heading domestic chip production”, Intel already produces chips in Phoenix.
Both tsmc and Intel are building brand new fabs in Phoenix, I can’t be bothered to check but I’m pretty sure the capabilities will be pretty matched so they won’t be heading or leading still.
¯\_(ツ)_/¯ drug users gotta get their drugs
I mean it has its issues but a non regulated currency not controlled by a government is cool imo
You are 200% correct, apple didn’t ditch Intel because Intel, apple did it because apple.
It got us a TSMC fab, soon ish maybe lol
MBA brain rot
I would like to add that if you want to do any real customization of your setup don’t get mac either.
Instead of having your windows float around, they perfectly snap and fill the space of the monitor depending on how many windows you have open. A new DE in alpha right now called Cosmic has both floating windows and tiling, you can change with just a toggle.
Cosmic is great so far, I run it on Fedora.
GIMPs biggest upgrade in like a decade should be coming out this year, you’ll have to check it out and see if it meets your needs when it does.
Not open source apps, glad I’ve pivoted to almost entirely open source software. SaaS is cancer.
I actually don’t know what people’s hesitancy is, but I’ve seen numerous people say proton is not good, we’ll see if anybody chimes in with a reason.
