If I’m awake at 3am it’s not because I woke up, it’s because I haven’t gone to bed yet.

Is there any further news? I check back here from time to time because I don’t know where else to look. If there is another place I should go to keep up with developments, let me know.

I’d forgotten about Myrlyn. I guess I never switched over to it from the older YaST software updater, which does not have the equivalent of ‘zypper dup’. But from what I read now, Myrlyn does, so that is good.
Discover does not, however. Not only does it not do the equivalent of ‘zypper dup’ it does not resolve package conflicts that can arise with external repos.
For anyone reading whose not familiar, on Tumbleweed, ‘zypper dup’ (or the Myrlyn equivalent) is what you need to run periodically to update to the latest snapshot (and being a rolling distro, new snapshots come out anywhere from every day to every few days, depending how the automated testing goes).

openSUSE Tumbleweed has a graphical installer you can use to install, remove, update applications, browse, search, etc. But you still need to run a command line ‘zypper dup’ to fully update the system.
Can confirm latex foam is good stuff, I have a latex foam mattresses that has lasted decades. Not all foam is the same tho, so maybe look into what kind of foam is in whichever couch you consider. Some seem to use memory foam. If you look at one of those, make sure you know what your getting into and whether you like that. I have no experience or opinion on memory foam myself but one person I know regrets their memory foam mattress. I think it has to do with heat and feeling held in place when the foam warms up and they sink in.

They taste different. I like sweet bell peppers too, but green gives a green pepper flavor they lack. Using both is ideal, but I appreciate either alone too. Or poblano!

Wow, both links gave me the same number! What are the chances!

Wait, so where did the hair come from? Did the shock from the impact knock it off his body?

Any society has norms which inevitably conflict with 100% honesty. A sociopath does not care about honesty and leverages these norms and human nature to their maximum advantage. Anyone who preferences honesty over these norms will experience friction commensurate with the difference.
As something who doesn’t like those plug in air fresheners, I’m just really curious about your sense that you needed to buy them and use them. I’m not judging here, we all get these notions of what is normal or expected from our environment. I grew up when those didn’t exist, and while bathroom air freshener sprays were a thing and not unknown in the house I grew up in, were kind of optional. I know some people for whom these seem just a thing they take for granted, and wonder to what extent they like them vs think of them as a thing they need to do in order to have good hygiene or keep a good household or whatever.
Personally, I’m turned off by them. I don’t wan’t my house smelling like something it doesn’t have any natural reason to smell like. If there is a bad smell, I want to know and take care of it and not cover it up. Some such fragrances actually really bother me, though it depends, but what I just said applies even to a fragrance that doesn’t bother me and that I like.
Have these become a thing that people think of as something they just need to do?
As someone whose circadian rhythm is inherently later then most, I don’t necessarily want to call this “lazy”, but at one small company I worked for this worked to my advantage because the President would see me working late all the time, but didn’t see what time I came in. Didn’t save my ass per se but didn’t hurt…

Well without a real sense of the size of the atmosphere (which most people don’t have), that doesn’t really mean anything, other than it being a big number. Any impressively big number can be insignificant in relation to something big enough to easily absorb it.
However, we’ve added to the amount of CO2 in the atmosphere by 50%. I think that says it really is significant.
It’s a very basic principle, that you don’t create powers that could be abused. That they haven’t been abused yet does not make doing so ok. It like saying it’s ok that my government was given the power to lock people up with no reason or due process because they haven’t used it yet.
And also until the committee designing it has it members on it representing the interests of users. The point that this was lacking in the original is-a-trap article is an important one and is also being missed.

I think this is the answer, but peeing on the seat is another level of dysfunctional. Peeing standing up without lifting the seat is not ok even by guys-peeing-standing-up standards. And peeing on the seat while sitting down suggests another problem, and then if you have that problem, not wiping off the seat is even more inconsiderate than leaving a few splashes on the rim of the bowl itself. I have to wonder if some of these boomers have some dementia.
Have you ever used bank software, or some government services site? It is often really hard to not get the idea that it was designed and run by idiots. As someone who’s worked as a software developer most of my life, it is not difficult for me to believe it, either.

Right, a stack that was itself read-only would be hard to use! :^D C definitely lets you modify the things in the stack. (Ah the fun of bugs where you accidentally overwrite other shit on the stack!) I don’t know Rust, but it would not surprise me if Rust only had immutable things on the stack.

I’m drawing on some old memories here, so I could be mistaken, but I don’t think the stack is read only, not in C anyway or in the underlying machine code. If it is faster it has to do with greater overhead needed managing the larger heap and perhaps being more efficient to push and pop with small offsets to a local stack frame vs large absolute addresses.

I don’t think they are the same category of thing. Ocean is a design system. Breeze is a theme.
Edit: now I’m less sure. This seemed to say it is both a style and a “design system” which I took to mean a technical mechanism for styles, but now i’m less clear what they mean.
Also to get updates, so a game is already updated when you go to play it.
I don’t normally leave it running, but I might leave it running to let all the updates happen since i might not have run it in months. Then I might forget about it and leave it running for a day of two.
