Asklemmy@lemmy.ml•How does your internal monologue work?English
2·10 days agoFor me, well its a pre-verbalization of anything I am about to do or say.
Even typing this out I am speaking each word.
If I am getting into bed, I think “I need to do xyz”.
sometimes its inquisitive, such as when I debate over choices ranking them over each other, or when I am processing what someone says or does.
“Why did they do that? It could be this or that”.
When I was younger I had developed a minor personality split in order to compensate for neglect and bullying. They were nice to talk to, and helped me processs emotions and feel not alone. They merged back into my main personality sometime in highschool.

3·11 days agoIf that hypothesis is true, I’ll be dammed. 😭
My neurodivergence means that not only can I process a huge amount of things at once, but I can also process through large tasks quickly.
This means I am an absolute maniac when it comes documentation, large scale changes, and complex thoughts.
In one research assignment, I managed to visualize a 12+ dimensional object/map, in its entirety. I felt amazing and understood the datasets complexities all at once.
The moment I am done with my current job, I am fucking off to be a professor.

I usually follow my school days logic, in which if you don’t shit before school, you shit after.
