I played it when it released and quite enjoyed it. I don’t remember much of it though, it might be time to give it another go.

That’s exactly what came to my mind when I saw the image haha
I’ve found this in the wild, it’s quite worrying, but not surprising, unfortunately.
They’ve been caught using ROMs downloaded from some ROMs download website, so it wouldn’t be that surprising.
The X-Files because childhood and Gillian Anderson.
Star Trek TNG because childhood and Gates McFadden.
On Firefox you can also hold your left click on the back arrow for the same effect.
And when a source isn’t clear, they mark the post as #doubtful.
It is where I get my music too. They even have tons of Vinyl or SACD rips, among other hi-res formats, if you’re into that.
It’s the biggest downside of having a transparent audio setup: the music that wasn’t well recorded/mastered is going to stick out like a sore thumb.
I cancelled my preorder years ago and don’t regret it one bit. The last 4 games I ever preordered: Shenmue 3, No Man’s Sky, Cyberpunk 2077 and Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines 2. Never again.
Yes, in my opinion astroturfing and vote manipulation go and in hand. For me it’s not just an admin perspective, I Think users having this kind of info can be beneficial. Admins’ (or mods’) interests aren’t always aligned with users’ interests, as reddit has taught me.
Obviously I don’t have all the answers, but from my point of view it would help against things like astroturfing or vote manipulation.
The problem I see with that is, bad actors only need to make accounts in instances that opted out to keep doing their thing. But yes, I think they’ll choose this option in the end.
That’s a fair point, but I still think it’s a very specific case. I believe it would benefit way more than harm the fediverse in general.
Like others have said, maybe do it opt-in, so each instance can choose whether they want to have it or not.
If your privacy is at risk in a place like Lemmy, you might be giving up too much private information IMHO.
Way cooler than astroturfing.
I say make them public. It was like that on Kbin and it never brought trouble.
If I’m not mistaken the Hot Coffee mod restores content made by Rockstar that was cut last minute.
Great, I’m sure nothing bad is going to come out of this, like everything else deepfake-related.
For those unaware, NoScript plugin helps with this.
I bought it last year but I abandoned it after only a few hours. I have to give it another chance.
