The Murlocs are now a psych rock band from Australia, two of the members are also in King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizard. They’re pretty great!

Cheese has physically addictive properties. The casein protein (Which is also what causes curdling) is digested into casomorphins, which can bind to opioid receptors in the same manner as dopamine.
Is this recent science? My partner was talking about the shingles dementia risk just the other day. Right before I got my yearly vaccinations!
In wouldn’t jump to conclusions so fast, we know not what nightmares the future holds.
The slow pace is fine, that’s part of the show’s charm. It just felt like nothing happened at all, not even character building. It was basically just a minor Stark side quest. Also a little too much Frieren fan service compared to the decency of S1, felt jarring once or twice.
Do you drill from the top down because the emerging bit causes the wood to split slightly, and that avoids the small splits from having to bare weight?
Hopefully it’ll be more substantial than Frieren S2. Director said he chose to work on it instead of a Bacci S2 but I dunno I might have enjoyed a Bacci S2 more than what we got from Frieren S2.

3·8 days agoI was saying was that insisting on using they/them pronouns on someone who has requested otherwise would be a disrespect. The “bending the language” I referred to was in overwriting all preferred alternative pronouns with they/them, as the commentor was proposing doing that.
Maybe I don’t like spending my birthday with impatient people.

4·9 days agoIt is historically common. We’re talking about using they/them when pronouns other than they/them are requested.

4·9 days agoNo language is being bent, in 99.9% of cases the pronouns being used have always existed in English, the remaining 0.1% are the ‘custom pronouns’ you’re thinking of and are an edge case that is effectively a non-issue to accommodate. I have a queer friend group and live in an extremely queer-friendly city and I literally know just one person who prefers a non-standard pronoun and am happy to accommodate that.

4·9 days agoHeavens no, absolutely not. Maybe in a meeting where everyone is introducing themselves, people might be asked to say their preferred pronouns with the rest of their introduction. Like hi my name is infinitesunrise, I’m the facility’s sex technician, I hail from west bumblefuck and my pronouns are he/him. In my free time I grow weed, play with my cat, and draw smut.

83·9 days agoWell, no. In the context of gendered pronouns being available and the norm of the language, intentionally using they/them instead of someone’s identified pronouns is a disrespect. You are not bending the whole of the most widely-spoken language on Earth by yourself and even if you could, starting with the effective erasure of minority gender identity would be terrible form.
It doesn’t get easier. But you do get faster. -Greg Lemond, Tour de France winner
It’s a slightly ablest quote, but in a world of quotes that fail to inspire me at all I find this one often does the trick.
Capitalism says no to technology as liberation. Technology as oppression only.
