  • All of it is laughably wrong.

Other than “lower taxes” and “stop illegal immigration” conservative policies are largely unpopular. I put these in quotes because once you start to apply nuance to those policies they become less popular. Lower taxes for who? Middle America? No, for the 1%! Stop criminals from crossing the border? No, deport the farm workers and asylum seekers that prop up American society!

This is why conservatives resort to wedge issues, propaganda, and fear mongering to stir up their base. Nothing they actually do is popular. They manipulate people into voting against their own interest or just play on their own voter’s racism.

Personally, the fear-mongering about cities is fucking insane. I’ve been to a ton of cities and never not felt safe. Are there areas that you probably shouldn’t go to? Sure, but that’s been the case for all human history. Do you have to like cities? No, but don’t act like they’re a Wild West town where people get shot and robbed at a whim.

  • I love Star Wars and usually have a half decent time with Ubi games. You can usually pick them up for 50% off physical like a month after release.

I have never put down a game quicker than Outlaws. It’s Ubisoft open world map icon slop at its worst. The first 4 hours of story are boring and repetitive. Every mission was “sneak into an Imperial base, oh shit something went wrong! Now escape!” Progression and abilities might as well not be there.

Interest in SW isn’t waning. Companies keep making bad SW content.

The stolen art is a much bigger problem for Bungie in a legal sense. They (and other studios) put out mediocre shit all the time and promise to fix it. I’m sure the poor play test contributed but the stolen art is likely the cause for this delay.

They now have to scan every single asset in the game to make sure the stolen art is no longer there and that’s just the stolen art they know about. There might be more stolen art in there, who knows.

Now that the controversy is public the original artist could easily find a lawyer to go against Bungie if more stolen art is found in the final release. If Bungie gets sued they might have to pull the game from storefronts.

  • I don’t think anyone should be posting this defeatist ass shit from Reddit. For all we know it could have been posted by AI. Yes, shit is bad. It’s probably going to get A LOT worse. But we shouldn’t take it lying down.

Posts like this that just point out how bad things are without offering ANY action are exactly what Trump and Musk want. They want us to look at this crap, feel overwhelmed, and give up. Instead those who want to resist fascism should be planning ahead.

Every single little act of resistance counts.

I know it’s hard. I’m fucking stressed out, anxious, overwhelmed, and just TIRED but I’m working out the little things I’m going to do to push back and it’s making me feel slightly better.

Limit your spending. Stop buying anything but the essentials.

Most importantly, talk with the people you care about and trust and build a support network.

  • Depends on the role and company you’re applying for but I’d say if you’re going for something entry level or if you have no experience they help.

I know some helpdesk places near me require A+, NET+, and SEC+ at hire or within the first 6 months. Whereas I’m a small business IT manager and I look at those certs as bonuses for entry or mid level positions. I’m way more interested in your work experience than how many certs you have.
