At present Waydroid is a must. I mostly need it for Meshtastic/Meshcore stuff, Airam programmable light and socket stuff, Proton apps and Lemmy browser.

Ubuntu native software base is still quite poor.

You can run most linux terminal and desktop apps, but if you can’t find them from the OpenStore(snap) and get them to work in the regular environments (missing dependencies or priviledges) and need to use libertine environment, they don’t run in the background and desktop apps will need external keyboard, because onscreen keyboard usually doesn’t work.

Stopped listening to doctors and figured out by myself what’s wrong with me. It wasn’t GERD and the medication doctors made me eat, in increasing amouts, didn’t do shit. It was vagus-nerve oversensitivity and allergic reaction to uncooked allium family plants that caused an irritation in my esophagus.

If I login to youtube and click a video, advertisments are mostly female hygiene products, braziers or frozen food products, because wife sometimes forgets to sign out from Facebook or Instagram. Whole family is connected to home network and home network has filters and blockers in the outgoing router.

Additionally home security system doesn’t have to keep connections open outside or have ports forwarded.

Outgoing router however does not have VPN set, so home network IP is visible. This is to keep everything operational and CAPTHCA from annoying users.

Yeah. COVID lockdown was my golden era.

I secretly despised people at my company that wanted to demolish remote working completely after COVID on the pretence that people are traumaticed by the solitude and need to get back on the horse 100%.

Eventually only max. 30% remote was allowed and became company norm.

Even then some of these pieces of shit actually forbid remote working from their subordinates.

Those subordinates then gave them absolutely garbage employee reviews and made their worklife hell. Now they are in some other company torturing some other poor souls.

They arw one of those books that a pain to read, but afterwards you’re happy you did.
