Some games minimize and try to lock your mouse to the game if you alt tab out. Windowed mode makes it pretty much seamless, pain free. No difference I ever found, just easier to alt tab out and check a map, take notes, pause and watch a video.
¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Alt tab out to other apps without the game freaking out due to display settings
Omg, this was common on dell laptops that had the toggle switch on the side, nearly everyone hit it off when putting/removing it from their bags. And would freak the fuck out when they got to the office an hour before everyone else, including IT.
I hate people. You don’t have to be a computer person, but use some basic troubleshooting and common sense.
I have a picture saved of a laptop camera with the lens cover open so I can reply to anyone’s ticket saying their camera is “black”.
When I was in 7th or 8th grade, I put a pair of Levi’s silver tab jeans in the shopping cart with my mom, didn’t know the price. Got up front to checkout and they were around $45. My eyes almost popped out of my head, I don’t remember spending that kind of money on clothes. Looked at my mom, she said to get them reluctantly. I felt so bad, I made those pants last for almost 10 years, all through highschool before they turned in my housework/car repair pants.
You can still get decent levis for $50 or so, but quality has definitely gone down a bit.

It’s not that it’s excessive, that’s a lot of money to spend right now with the way things are.

Yeah, this is my point and experience too. 32 is better, I’d say 16 min. But people crying about needing 128 should rethink their priorities for gaming, were in a recession lol. Save your money.

I can never get people to understand this. I’ve got servers running on i7 8th gens, with stock 16GB ram. I could upgrade, but no need. People thinking they need 128GB to plays games are delusional.

Oh shit really? I stopped using it a few years ago, had no idea. What is their reasoning?

Related, I found this episode of Darknet Diaries Very entertaining.
Nextdoor does exist too

I think people are more excited about an OS that doesn’t steal their data and is made for gaming. Bazzite is cool, but the steam deck has showed what a good OS can do for gaming. Fuck windows.

Maybe 1/8th mile, saw it in the distance we were heading, made a turn and saw a small fire, guessing it’s where it hit. Buddy and I got out, stomped it out, never spoke about it again.

Me and my 11 year old just changed the rear shocks on my car, 18mm socket and box wrench, 45 minutes of time. I’ll never buy a vehicle with these types of paywalls.

Everything requires some documentation.

We play by the same rule, everyone is weird, no judgement for immutable characteristics. Everyone has challenges, life is already hard, no reason to make it harder for someone.

How are they talking to people? My kid either hasn’t figured it out or doesn’t give a shit. But he doesn’t really talk except for IRL friends on discord.

Very possible. I’d pay a premium to bring over my steam library rather than getting a console and starting over tbh.
I never saw a major performance difference, but being able to switch windows without the game possibly crashing is great. Especially in single player games, sometimes you just need to pause and check laundry, or check email. Alt tab and good to go.
That’s the benefit I use it for. Some games force minimize when you tab off and they can crash when you try to tab back to them.
