January 2008 was chill times for most. Not good, since the shit show in Iraq and Afghanistan was ongoing. By August, the world was on fire as people lost homes, their life savings, etc.
For me? My wife and I noticed the extreme volatility in the stock market and started to day trade a handful of stock. For many, including myself, the 2008 crash was the end of struggle and the start of prosperity as we feast on the rotting corpses of greedy corporations that got caught on their feet and their trousers around their ankles when the music stopped. By 2009, with the money from day trading, we were able to buy a forclosed house (shithole) cash, fixed it up and used the proceeds to pay off our mortgage and the rest of our considerable debt. Not having debt allowed us to take risks with our careers and we soon had a successful IT consulting firm. 2008 literally broke the chains of our financial slavery.
i am hoping to make that my reality soon, with the massive bubble that has formed/is forming, kinda feel bad but after i learned how the markets work i have made more in 3 months than i made working for 3 years.
shits so fucking stupid, all these rich cunts gambling with $ they don’t need on stuff they don’t understand instead of just paying a little more in taxes.
got a big play setting up right now that should shoot me to multi-millionaire status overnight…biotech is like the heroin of the industry, was little surreal at first (cause everyone seems to have horror story of being very sure on a biotech play, and losing everything as a result) but it just gets more and more sure as time goes on…
