    they’re trying to beat the age verification laws to market because they know afterwards will be a shit show.

    they know customers won’t be spending money on hardware that is ID nerfed.

    if valve gets the hardware to market now, along with the software it’s more likely that people will buy the hardware later and flash older firmware later that doesn’t require ID verification.

      What “ID nerfed”? The laws are not about ID verification, so I am not sure what you are talking about.

        multiple states and now countries have bills and/or laws that will be enforced soon that require the age and/or identity of the user. you’re lying to yourself if you believe steam won’t be directly impacted by that and will be forced to comply.

          It is not about your ID, it is about age. You should read those bills. An operating system has to accept an age the user is able to freely type in, no ID verification is done. So much false information.

              No, because they don’t have anything else. They only get age or in some cases, just the information if you are 18+ or under 18. They don’t know where you are.
