BlueSky post by user @hemlock.bsky.social that reads,
I am a transit maximalist. I believe that when a girl hornyposts from the other side of the country; I should be able to get on a maglev and arrive in her city before the prog is out of her system for no more than $40. All policy should bend to serve this goal.

China claims its T-Flight vacuum-tube maglev train has set a world speed record in prototype testing. It’s eventually targeting at least 1,000 km/h, significantly quicker than an airliner https://newatlas.com/transport/china-vacuum-maglev/
ill need to do the calculations.
Yeah, surprisingly even at those speeds, you’re looking at over 4 hours from one side of the US to another.
which is 2 hours 20 minutes faster than flying from jfk to lax, and the prog has a half life of between 9-16 hours with peak levels between 1-8 hours so in theory you could take the train and still have 4-5 hours to romp
