I would argue that “tankie” isn’t an antirevolutionary term. It refers to authoritarian sympathizing “leftists”, but opposing authoritarianism doesn’t make you against revolution inherently. I mean, if a revolution were to happen tomorrow I wouldn’t be opposed. Yet, I’m not a tankie.
Ok, that’s fair. I think in the context of this meme it was used in a more broad sense tho. It compares reformist “socdems” with “tankies”, who are therefore “any revolutionaries” by contrast.
