but also yes. there are furry fascists who show up at conventions and try to promote their ideologies in what are otherwise queer friendly leftist spaces. they’re a lot like ultra conservative gay men in that they think their identity and their politics can be divorced and they really wish we could all get away from identity politics… all while practicing politics that place everyone into identity hierarchies and demanding conformity to their cultural ideals.

Reminds me of that reactionary American senator(?) gal who had forbidden abortion for everyone in her area and when she got preggers she tried to ask for abortion but didn’t get one.
She got what was coming, I suppose, but man, is it so much to ask to support others in their freedom from hatred and repression?
