    What bombs in Pokémon? Geodude and a few others have Self Destruct, but I do not recall bombs.

        I thought you meant the games.

        I always assumed Voltorb evolved to look like a PokeBall as a camouflage technique.

        Which implies that PokeBalls have existed for millions of years…

          Evolution in Pokémon does not take millions of years. If you leave a Pokémon in your pocket with the wrong rock it is going to evolve, or if it becomes your friend it may evolve.
