I did try! Bread came back out in much the same fashion. Ended up using the grill.

  Had that happen with my toaster, took it apart, cleaned out all the crumbs, worked fine after that.

    I’ll get there! It’s low on the list of priorities, I have a whole washing machine to disassemble first, groan.
