The categories aren’t natural, they’re social. Nature doesn’t categorise, it just does what it was designed to do based on the blueprints before it. Anything beyond that is artificially made. The interests, skills, personality traits, etc. are made up. You don’t have to follow them just as you don’t have to alter your nature to fit into the ones you like. You just do them. Nature will never say you can’t, only social opinions of others will, and even that is subjective to social trend at that time.
It’s easier to just not participate in it. I feel sorry for people who are controlled by these made up things. But I understand there are those that see clothing, colours, and roles as super important and stuff.
The genital fixation has been a vile core of religion throughout history, alongside oppression, hypocrisy, etc., and we deserve better from each other. This one is waking up. 🤘🏼
No gods, no kings.
I don’t really think anyone is saying all your personality traits and interests have a one to one mapping onto your assigned at birth gender. I mean, maybe some psychos are but that wouldn’t be common even for transphobes.
Take for example, one of the strongest would-be examples. I’m an American cis male. Many people assume I like football, but it’s far from assumed by everyone that I’m a football fan, even though that’s among the strongest of cultural norms here.
How many cis males do you know that regularly wear skirts and dresses?
I didn’t realize that one’s entire being including interests and personality are all boiled down to wearing a skirt or not
About as much as it does for football.
I’m saying the reason trans people are socially ostracized isn’t because some of them like football.
You misunderstood the post, and I’m letting you know that wanting to wear different clothes is an example of an actual interest that trans people get shit for.
I fully understood the post – you’re just making an assumption because I take some issue then that must be with the overall point. Which is incorrect. The post just was worded poorly and I’m pointing it out.
Ok
