I don’t usually do this, but this is too funny not to call it out.

It’s trying, that’s for sure. I’m a terrible debater but I feel like everyone there just ignores stuff and doubles down on their own skewed view of the world.

I mean I get it. The “west” is historically pretty bad, that whole colonisation part of my own British history etc. and we all know the MIC is not exactly an honourable venture, and sure capitalism is being stretched to its ungodly late stage especially now.

But that doesn’t mean everything absolutely related to the west is to be ignored and only Russian sources can be correct.

And they cry for peace while knowing everything ever about the military it seems.

This guy mentioned they haven’t used the good kit yet lmao (even though we all know their mechanised “kit” is exhausted) such as the Oleshnik….in an ironic twist of fate that very day Ukraine destroyed it deep within Russia 🤣🤣

They’re so close to winning bro, they only want the Donbass bro

I love tankies takes on Ukraine, they just completely drop their ‘something something communism’ mask – a marxk, if you will.

From the same thread by the same Cowbee: “Russia is achieving all their goals, because they aren’t trying to take all of Ukraine”.

Ah yes, we achieved all of our goals because we just swapped the goals we failed at for goals we’ve already achieved.

I saw this thread and bookmarked it for the next time someone asks for “proof” that .ml is infested with Russian trolls.

This is literally loony tunes. China makes up 27% of global manufacturing capacity. The US makes up 17% and the EU is 16%. Russia is 1.7%.

This is your brain on tankie.

I think that what may be going on here is that Russia has had more artillery shell manufacturing capability than NATO (or did earlier in the year; not sure what the present situation is). Mark Rutte — as Secretary General of NATO — highlighted this about halfway through 2025, while urging members to increase their production capacity:

      https://www.euronews.com/my-europe/2025/07/16/is-russia-producing-a-years-worth-of-nato-ammunition-in-three-months

NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte has repeatedly said that Moscow’s annual ammunition production capacity is four times greater than that of the western alliance.

In a keynote speech in London last month, the NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte repeated a warning he has made in public at least three times this year: the western alliance is severely lagging behind Moscow on ammunition production.

“In terms of ammunition, Russia produces in three months what the whole of NATO produces in a year,” Rutte said on 10 June, adding that Putin’s war machine is “speeding up, not slowing down".

Yet the Western alliance is looking to dramatically close the gap in 2025.

The European Commission has set a target to ramp up ammunition production to 2 million rounds per year in 2025, while the US is looking to hit a new target of 100,000 rounds per month by October.

As best I can tell, Russian media grabbed the quote about artillery shell manufacture and ran with it, presenting it in such a way as to convey an impression that Russia has more military-industrial capacity as a whole than NATO does. I imagine that that plays well with domestic audiences, but…

@AWistfulNihilist @tal What’s good to keep in mind is that Russian (actually: Soviet) artillery is extremely imprecise.

If you want to hit a specific target using Russian-made artillery, you need to shoot, on average, about 10 times as many shots as you would with western artillery. The Russian artillery is just as good as the western one when your goal is to obliterate everything in a large area, but if you’ve got a specific target, the 10x multiplier does apply!

So, the Russia is very capable of destroying cities with its artillery, but that won’t win you any wars. If you want to compare Russian ammo production capacity in terms of how many enemy military objects they are able to destroy, you need to divide the Russian production numbers by ten.

It’s incredibly precise. They leveled Gaza by being very precise with their target selection and aim. They were even picking (and hitting) specific rooms in schools and hospitals as a means to justify the whole “they’re using human shields, we’re still minimizing harm” crap. I wish I was fuckin joking when I say that the precision of western artillery has helped Israel deny shit.
