Love the explanation. I’ve had a homelab for 20 years now and have never heard of FUTO. You’re explainer has made me bookmark the site now for future skimming.

“I’ve seen drier days on Ferenginar. And we have a hundred seventy-eight different words for rain. Right now it’s glebbening out there. And that’s bad.”

Just had to do this a few weeks ago. They have you taken a pic of your driver’s license, provide your SSN & run a credit check on the spot. Then they charge you to tour the place.
A very “fuck you, I’m getting paid regardless” mentality from rental companies.

Used this same exact setup for years and only in the last few months moved to a SLZB-06 POE version paired with Z2M and love it.

Good to know, thanks. Now I’m not as annoyed as I was, lol.

I just got rid of my Pixel 6a because it had one of the bad batteries. Tip to anyone taking advantage of the trade in rebate, DO NOT get the $150 Google Store credit and be like me thinking you can use it on the Google Fi Store to purchase a new Pixel. The $150 store credit is only towards the purchase of a Pixel phone via the Google Store. Take the $100 cash rebate option instead because it tells you once you choose either option, you cannot change it.
My hope was to get the Pixel 9a on my account for $249 (activation discount) on my account and then use the $150 store credit… nope.

My partner does the same thing! The amount of times I’ve looked at the microwave and wondered why time is standing still is too damn high!

Until the AI companies find a way around it. Love the idea so hopefully it causes at least 3 days of struggle for the AI crawlers.
Having said that… Can someone else put this in place so we do not have Cloudflare hosting everything where we would just be one intern away from a global outage. Please? Pretty please?
Scavengers Reign was odd, but good. I still didn’t know how to describe it to anyone.

I’m in the same boat. I have leftover PC parts to offload and Craigslist is shit and the Nextdoor app doesn’t have as much reach from what I can see.

Exactly. Too much choice can lead to analysis paralysis. I’ve been telling everyone who brings up Windows 10’s expiration date that now is a good to install Linux Mint as a good beginner place to start.

Doing the same on Ubuntu myself after trying Bazzite for a couple weeks. Bazzite kept messing up SSSD and would prevent me from authenticating with my home domain.
Will definitely try SteamOS once it is fully released.
I recently cancelled DSL at a deceased relatives house as it was no longer needed. When I called 3 months later they said it is no longer available. The rest of the neighbors have 5G Internet but that carrier days their is no more availability. So now when I go to clean up the property more I just use my cell phone as a hotspot.

But if I have a backup Internet, I have no excuse to be to not work during an ISP provided break time!
I grow my mint along the side of the house where the HVAC condensation runs out! It helps with the whole area just being a giant muddy mess since it is also on the shady side of the house.

I guarantee this was their goal all along. Build up something to have a larger entity come through and buy the company. Wish I had thought of it but I’m not a fan of screwing over the user base.

NPM is awesome until you have a weird error that the web GUI does not give a hint about the problem. Used it for years at this point and wouldn’t consider anything else at this point. It just works and is super simple.
POE network switch + RJ45 to USB adapter. I run a presence sensor as a test sensor in my hole office via a Door switch. Works great.
