“AI” or Large Language Models, are designed by definition to give averaged answers. So they’re not just averaging on the text you give them, they’re averaging it with all general text of the training model, to create a probabilistically average result based on all of it.

There’s no way around this, because it’s simply how such systems work. It’s their lifeblood to produce a “best guess” across large amounts of training data …which is done by averaging out all that language. A large amount of language… Hence the name.

Okay, I tried it, it’s not for me. Would be WAY better if the track pad was logarithmic so the cursor was closer to your thumb as it got lower on the screen, eventually meeting your thumb when dragged low enough.

You can just connect a Bluetooth mouse if you have one and a cursor will appear natively.

Privatization = less revenue going to the government, more to the private market, and due to tax cuts, that money isn’t coming back to government.

Conclusion, the right wing are conducting anti-patriotic economic attacks on the state… Often doing so in a targeted way, funded by billionaire think tanks.

…a “leveraged loan” usually means there’s a contract to sell a natural resource for a very cheap price (far below the market rate) if the loan isn’t paid back. That’s the “leverage” that makes the loan (usually to an otherwise poor country) “good” in the eyes of the world bank.

So that’s what happens. If they refuse to give up the goods, they’ll get down graded, possibly refused global banking services, or put on an embargo list… And they’ll probably arrange ownership of the mine/refinery/wells and have them secured with private security forces anyways.

When you’re too questionable for the world bank - who regularly offers leveraged loans to dictators they know are going to embezzle the cash and flee, leaving whole countries destitute.
