I guess im lucky in that my taste is with older music. I had a friend whos main hobby was going to bars with bands playing and that is how bands got their start in the past. If you don’t live near a large metro you can check who is playing at various big city venues and then look around at what their music is like.

Im not sure if its been a year or a bit over but not much fuss for me but I use zorin which uses ubuntu lte on older laptops. still looking to goof with benzite and I am far enough along with appimage to do it but im a slow mover.

Just don’t use them beyond the minimum. I need facebook to keep in contact with some people I know and for groups on there but I just check in once a week or so. linkedin I need for job hunting. once I retire I will keep it around to give people recommendations if I need to. honstely I abandone twitter but I only ever made one to stake my name. youtube is nice to keep track of creators I like but I mostly watch it not logged in. got rid of my reddit because the federation covers that.

I remember dance clubs taking photos of id’s back in the 90’s. first time I encountered it and I was like. WTF! thing is back then they did not have the equipment and infrastructure to hold it long term and were not part of a chain or had been bought up by holding companies. It was the same with security cameras that at most kept video for a few days and sometimes only one. Once we got to never delete data it became a nightmare.

So. If there is any older machine that is not longer being used and you can just install linux on it (I feel zorin is best as something ready to go for non tech people who want the os to be out of the way and just go). Anyway my opinion is linux performs much better and a persons previous machine will preform better than their current one running windows.

I try to do twice a week but I literally spend hours. I don’t try and keep the temp at anything in particular but I don’t know what it is about my bathroom but I don’t feel the temperature falls all that much. I do start out about as hot as I ca stand. Like I tip my to go oh. ah ha ah. and slowly get one foot in. then the other. then slowing lower down into it.

I have been doing fine with libre office. I mostly do doc and send as pdf. If they ask for word format I save it as such and send it to them. spreadsheet and slides I don’t share. Granted at workplaces I use whatever they give me to use on my work machine.

I think we more need to get people to realize that opinions from the internet (and networks) are just in general not legitamate enough and they need to talk with actual people who are around them and not take on ideas they see but actually take in the world and think about what they actually want the world to be.

Being so angry you feel like you can kill someone I think is common but I don’t think folks will ever admit they ever felt that way. Especially when younger and full of hormones. Then you have that the closer you are to someone the angrier they can make you. Pushing buttons and all. You cope by realizing murder is wrong. That your brain is wierd and you don’t act on high emotion. You get yourself away from the emotional situation and calm yourself however you best find to do that. You try to discuss when you and the other person are less emotional and see if you can come to a common understanding. Granted if you a kid its not an equal footing but if don’t think you can get to where you are treated fairly then just put your energy into gaining independence as soon as you can.

Maybe. I certainly have not used them all. Honestly it would sorta mean using one specific package manager and such so im not sure if what they are describing the way I read it is really feasable. I use a really easy out of box distro now so I only make a few decisions at install and mostly just hit enter and accept defaults for them.

What I meant is it sounds like its suggesting an install interface where you basically choose what you want like you see with freebsd (or did at least back when I was using it which admitadely was some time ago but yes the other bsds). Also I thought the various bsds had different kernels so where not exactly distros of each other.
