I have an old laptop with windows on it out of a combination of pure laziness and im in a no spend condition and need to buy a solid state drive.

I have never known there to be any but im sure there is I just don’t engage in a way where I might hear it. Im a don’t shit where you eat type of person so I rarely do anything outside of work with anyone but im polite and cordial in the workplace. Even personable. I have to say though I have been out of work for well over a year now and you see folks saying to network but I have never gotten a job by knowing anyone except for some part time work in the summers during college where my brother told me about it. So maybe its good to gossip.

oh high school definately has an arc. It amazed me by senior year how I was casually talking with one of our all state track guy stars whle my claim to fame was science olympiad. Its like freshman year everyone is desperate to find a place to fit in so you get clicks and sophmores emphasize it even more really in relation to giving hell to freshmen and reveling in not being freshmen but then junior year everyone starts to get how sorta stupid it is and by senior year folks are just trying to figure out what to do with college or other after graduation plans.

I went to catholic school till 8th grade and was pretty introverted as a kid. So mostly bad but it basically got better really as I got older and high school was much better. I went from being the geek of the class to being in a group of geeks at a school.

I don’t see why someone would boycott nerd things from america or hippie things or such but like I could totally see boycotting stuff from the south and other conservative areas like country western music and certainly the flag or any other nationalistic shit.

Heres the thing if your in the US. The federal government no longer follows its own laws when it comes to due process and the constitution or really law in general. Of course the problem with that is it goes way beyond piracy. But pointing to your piracy would likely play well with their base.

jobs out of high school with pensions is a pretty big effing deal. Im wishing I die by 55 before I lose my house.

I have not studied in some time but may have to coming up. I do believe the best way to study is to hand write notes and rewrite them in iterations with other sources. so write in classe, listen to recording in dorm and rewrite. Pausing and rewinding as need to get what you want down, read text book chapter and rewrite as you do that. Its incredibly time consuming but effective. Given that I have not done anything close since college and did not even do it to that level at college. One and maybe two rewrites at most. Now I will likely just use a laptop and I might make and rewrite notes in a way I did for test prep which is more like consolidation. Bringing it down more and more to the key parts.

Yeah. Moreso the institutions and structure but even youtubers I like it sorta disgusts me when they get into shilling for ground news or nord vpn. There are a few different ways fiction has dealt with that. Like one once you do it it updates time and you then remember it once you did it in the future, another you come back to there being two of you the non traveler who remembers and the traveler who does not. In some cases the world is changed but in others a new parralell world is made and sometimes the characters just don’t know. you could also have a thing where you return and everything is exactly the same but a parralell world was made that you just don’t go to when you return.

I can’t answer your question but can say why the heck should it matter. Why don’t we go after putin who we know has been bad for the globe for a very long time or what about netanyahoo and heck the kims. We may have done some shady things in the past but they at least followed international law (it might be debatable but not obviously ignoring it like this) or at least did it covertly because we still had some recognition it was wrong.

I would not worry about it. If people get bent out of shape then so be it. Im super liberal but I did not grow up where gender and sex were different things. Im cool with folks being trans but if they want me to change to accomodate them well thats not going to happen. They can live their lives and the law can protect them from discrimination but people will be who they are. Its like if a furry wants me to use some fursona thing thats unlikely to happen. Its cool they have one but im not part of that world but its cool for them to be them. Now granted this might change a bit if Im good friends with someone. At that point they have a bit more points to get me to change my habits. To me its a bit like using a nickname. You do it with those you know.

you sound like my wife and she is still like that. Its hard to explain because she will do whats expected. So like around the house whe will not wear dresses or anything but at work or parties or such she will. We are both kinda by the book like that but im more likely to do what I want if there is no specific rule where she will more likely take into account norms.
