It’s by design
Something weird I’ve been noticing. Lately I’ve been unintentionally minimizing comments before I’ve finished reading them. Just happened with yours. It’s like some subconscious part of my brain goes “booorrring!” half way through reading anything longer than two sentences and immediately goes for the next dopamine kick.
And I’m not knocking your comment. I was genuinely interested in what I was reading. It’s just a little troubling. I dropped Reddit and Lemmy a while back because I felt like I was becoming addicted. I lasted a few months, but evidently I’ve fallen off the wagon.
It’s hyperbole, yo. It’s just funny because people born in the previous century don’t really think of it as that.
Great explanation, thanks
Can you elaborate? I googled the right hand rule, but I’m not seeing how it applies to screws.
I know the feeling. A few months ago I randomly got a video call from my boss. Both he and the owner of the company were in the line. They let me know that they unfortunately had to let go of almost everyone on the dev team. Some funding had fell through (gotta love startups). Fortunately, I got to keep my job that day, but I can’t shake the feeling that another layoff is right around the corner.
It’s not real, that’s the Mediterranean sea.
No, we haven’t perfected the pheasant yet.
Why don’t you go eat a pheasant, you commie.
Once we perfect it, you mean.
Oh wowwww. Look at mr/mrs bigshot over here with 192 GB of ram.
Why so secretive of your ram?
You could use your twm within kde or xfce. I’ve never done it, but people who have seem to be happy with it.
Force of habit. I also use the delay feature quite often.
I hit Win, type “snip”, click on snipping tool, then use the gui to start my selection process. Every time.
What if sponsor block started collecting the durations of videos (if they don’t already), then it could skip forward by the difference.
Everyone seems to be taking this seriously. Am I the only one here that reads this as sarcasm?
I’ve never felt awkward hitting the no tip button. I didn’t even realize that people felt it was an obligation for the longest time. I would just hit the “no thanks” button and think nothing about it. I also never got the impression that the person working the register thought any less of me.
I tip delivery drivers and waiters. That’s about it.
Invite her back to my place for some jousting.
