I quit playing last year after almost 2000 hours.
Too many racists, sexists and otherwise toxic bullies and cheaters.
The devs giving them a second chance and lifting the ban on most of them really broke my trust.
I still intend to coming back next season after this break. I really enjoyed my time, at least until the number of hackers exploded and am hoping to find at least a little bit of that spark again.

I guess the point is that automatic updates ruin stuff way more unexpectedly, than knowing that it broke because I pressed the update button.
Before knowing it was the update I tried fixing it unsuccessfully and I could’ve saved some time and nerves.
Installed Bazzite once. Lasted about two weeks, before this hard-to-break-distro broke on it’s own.
Never did anything to it, it just started acting up.
Switched to CachyOS and it just works.

There is a way to play privately with only your friends, although unofficial, not supported by Rockstar and only on PC. It’s a little program call ‘RDO Lobby Manager’ and it modifies your game in a way, that you get put on your own server. Your friends need the same program.
I’ll repeat what others likely mentioned before:
Valve specifically chose to build a mid range PC, so more people can afford it.
Also they priced it in a way where it’s still affordable while offering the convenience of not having to build it yourself. The majority of people never built a PC themselves, nor do they want to.
I love the idea of Max watching TV with pointing his gun at it the whole time.

I’ve been using VLC for well over a decade now, but for some reason, VLC likes to shift the pitch down a little and up again every now and then and I don’t know why. Makes listening to music a little annoying.

The player numbers are dwindling. Looking at the comments on Rare’s announcement videos, people are not happy with the past few seasons and updates.
My bad experiences also come from playing the hourglass PvP a lot.
