I have no idea why I’m getting downvoted then. nor the other commenter.

I think people are quite confused when he is literally just talking about basic biology. no negative connotations whatsoever.

if real actual facts are now being downvoted I have very little hope for humanity.

huh? no, uncommon in terms of human biology. this isn’t some political statement against those who have mutations or uncommon chromosome combos.

they exist. they’re real. they’re just not the majority. and that’s ok. they don’t have to be.

I’m not sure what that has to do with elements on the periodic table.

yes the majority of humans just have one or the other and mutations and disorders can cause variations within the two. but those aren’t a majority of humans.

people seem to think that he is putting some negative meaning behind it.

just because a mutation is a mutation doesn’t mean it’s bad. but it doesn’t mean it’s normal for humans either.

considering lemmy is so spread out and there’s many apps for it, I think post formatting is down to user preference and choice.

I’d suggest swapping to a view that will at least show titles so you don’t make the mistake of clicking on something or seeing something that’s a spoiler for you.

my point is that its on the user, not the OP. especially given the game its from.

  • its because the “oldies” are well designed and aren’t overtly obvious cash grabs.

well I mean some are cash types. but quite a few old MMOs have a great life due to private servers and whatnot. And some “dead” MMOs are still alive solely on private servers (Star Wars Galaxies for example)

and ones like ESO are great for not needing a subscription to play. you have the option to just buy the content outright if you’d like.

but yeah I would love to see a new MMO come along to bring that feeling back. the good old days of competition between MMOs. it does feel like cash shop gacha trash is everywhere these days.
