Kicker is that they have to be attractive, which is the real reason most have no hate towards them. Aloy wasn’t traditionally attractive in the Horizon sequel and people lost their shit.

Do tell about this. Are there any downsides? Any compatibility issues with hardware or software?
Their apparent solution to this is more live service games (at least from a few weeks or so ago).

Bro, I’m on Lemmy, Mastodon, Bluesky, and Threads and I’m not sure I even know what exactly it is and how they talk to each other. I just use the service.
To be fair, it’s not an insanely simple concept and it’ll take people some time to learn it.
They act like how attractive a character is directly correlates to whether gameplay is good or a story is bad. Why can’t they just appreciate the game for what it is and the character for who they are?
