As others are trying to convey, it’s not about the bot but about allowing yourself to indulge in this behavior. The bot could be substituted for a rock or a rubber duck, but you are training yourself to subconsciously think that this behavior is acceptable. It increases the chance that you’ll one day start treating actual people like that.

Imagine this scenario: you come home after a long day of work. At work, you use AI a lot and curse and swear at it when it makes mistakes (which is often). At home, you ask your spouse/child/roommate/parent to do something for you, which they attempt but proceed to mess up. They apologize, and instead of handling it calmly you instinctively react like you’ve trained yourself to react - by screaming at them.

Is that what you want to be like?

You might be screwed. I had an instagram acount, wasn’t using it for a while so I uninstalled the app from my tablet, now wanted to check something there and got hit with the same thing. I did not manage to recover that account. Can’t even delete it and make a new one, it’s just stuck in limbo. I don’t care much since I was only lurking there, but it’s really scary how Meta can just randomly cut you out of your digital life. And all support was of course delegated to an incredibly stupid chatbot which can’t do anything.

Vita Nostra by Marina and Sergey Dyachenko. Really weird, abstract and interesting. Anyone labeling it as Dark Academia or a magic school book is both completely correct and dead wrong at the same time.

Piranesi by Susanna Clarke, This Is How You Lose the Time War by Max Gladstone and Amal El-Mohtar both have very interesting concepts and great executions.

When it comes to interesting concepts in fantasy/sci-fi, Adrian Tchaikovsky has some bangers. Elder Race, Children of Time, or Alien Clay are some random example recs.

China Mieville’s New Crobuzon trilogy is really out there too. 2nd book is the best and can be read independently but does spoil some things from the first.

It’s perpetually in progress but what’s there is already pretty much a complete game, dev just can’t stop adding/revamping things. I’ve played it like 5 years ago, spent 50+ hours and had a great time. There’s also an active modding community.

Nah, humans are great at pattern-matching, even just being aware that some find 67 funny is enough for you to start spotting it. I started finding some amusement in it just due to exposure from younger coworkers.

I don’t listen to this band much but I’m quite partial to Siamés - the Wolf. The animation, limited color palette, and the music all together feel very satisfying.

I’d love it if Secret World (preferably the original release, not Legends) was a singleplayer RPG instead of the half-assed MMORPG that it was. You could lower the enemy density and respawns, maybe add some computer-controlled party members Guild Wars 1 style, and it would be the dopest thing ever. The lore, vibe, and worldbuilding in this game is immaculate, it’s just a shame it’s strapped to an MMO framework.

And some people just simply haven’t considered the difference between being attracted to and physical enjoyment derived from sex with somebody. Look at asexual people (who generally experience very limited or no sexual attraction) - some of them are having partners and enjoying sex, and it’s incorrect to say that they aren’t ace anymore because of that (although there has been some drama regarding this topic, go figure). Same in your case.

I’d say saying you’re a lesbisn is absolutely fine - you’re the final arbiter of your own identity.

Yup, Nintendo in particular has a bad habit of just sitting on a bunch of old games, keeping them unavailable on modern system despite the fact that there’s clearly a market for it. And occasionally they’ll reach into their great big bag of classics, pull something out and say “we’ve done the bare minimum so you can run this on our current gen system (Switch), that will be 50 dollars for a 20 year old game”.

Same, except that once it gets too big we take it out to my parents’ house in the mountains and plant it there. So far one has died and one is surviving and happily growing.

I’ve only played EA for less than 10 hours, but it was fun. It’s kind of a top-down Terraria. I put it down because I wanted to wait for some features from the next patch, which came out and delivered those features but then also promised some even more exciting features in the next patch and so on. Launch may be a good time to get back in since they didn’t announce an exciting post-launch roadmap yet.

It’s more of a top-down Terraria than a pixel shooter, with procedurally generated world, village building (with npcs that can do jobs there), gear upgrades and boss fights. That comparison might make it a bit less ridiculous.

I’ve played this briefly when it launched, but was annoyed that for people playing solo the map outside your bases fully resets every time you save and load, I’d prefer if the areas I cleared of the fog would stay cleared. I get that in a multiplayer setting it’s better to reset because then everyone has the same opportunities to get loot/xp, but my map-clearing goblin brain was disappointed.

Unless they’ve changed it, but last I’ve heard there were no plans for that.

Other than that it was a lot of fun already at EA launch, probably got even better by now.

I’ve been trapped in a Fantasy Life i: The Girl Who Steals Time addiction ever since that came out. I’m a huge fan of the original 3DS game, but it was kinda forgotten by gaming history. And now we have a much bigger and more polished game for more platforms! For those who haven’t heard of it: it’s a bastard child of singleplayer Final Fantasy XIV and Animal Crossing. Very cute and cozy, mercilessly addicting, simulates the experience of having ADHD incredibly well.

This is how it typically goes: you want new furniture for your house. You’re out of a specific kind of wood that’s needed, so you go to a place that has it. On the way there you see an NPC with a quest - some poor farmer is besieged by overgrown carrots, and wants you to kill 10 of them. Might as well, it’s only a slight detour. You kill the carrots, and then help yourself to some more crops on the farm, and get a rare carrot that you need to cook a dish to advance your Chef Life! Better get to that immediately, before you forget. You go back to town and cook the dish. You still don’t have that new furniture you set out to get.

About the only thing I don’t like is that the story quests are less weird than the original game, everything else is a straight upgrade.

I got the testicle part :P it’s just that “piroshkis” doesn’t sound Polish at all, and since we’re talking about Poland… Even “pierogis”, with its unnecessary “s” would be better.

As a note, as this story is about a Polish radio station the word you’d want to use is “pierogi” or “pierożki”, no “s” at the end either.
