I lost access to my original copy because I completely missed the Microsoft shenanigans of account transfering due to not playing for 10+ years.
Kind of feel cheated as I recently got the itch to play again and was unable.
Any recommendation of the best way to play Minecraft now? I’m not particularly keen on rebuying it :/
131·5 months agoMe and my wife… Got really bored. The gameplay loop is supppperr trivial, and even though they add in stuff every now and again, eh…
I dunno, it’s okay - but I just don’t get the hype. I wanted to pitch in because if someone is considering buying it I’d really recommend checking a Let’s Play of it before trying it.
It felt like a game specifically designed for a gamer to introduce gaming to their never-gamed-before partner. If you’re both experienced gamers like we are, I wonder whether you’d give up on it too.

Perhaps I should have said ‘categorically’ instead of ‘definitively’, but they are synonyms so…
IIRC, the only definitive way to ID mushrooms is by making a spore print - and even then you need to know what you’re doing.
Just doesn’t seem worth the risk to me.
