I started around 15. probably drank more between 15 and 18 than I did from 18 to 21. Smoked weed around the same time but I didn’t like it much, I was more into acid.
Didn’t like weed much until my late 30’s,now I partake a few times a month.

Canada here. Winter never, unless we have a rare warm (above -10c/14f) day. Spring as often as I can if/when it’s nice enough outside. Summer usually open until the temps get around 27c/80f then closed and the air conditioner on.
I live in a roughly 100 yr old house though, so with all the cracks etc this place tends to self-ventilate anyway.
Well, if you happen to be in Canada around the beginning of August…
I’m getting old, can’t do that kind of shit anymore without suffering for it for days afterwards but it sure was fun at the time though.
I had saved up over $1300 from odd jobs/paper route in my teens just for it. On my 18th, I bought 30 hits of acid and a few cases of beer for me and my friends, rented a motel room under a different name 80 miles from home, and partied for about 2 days.

The ad delivery system is programmed to show you the ads only when the vehicle is in park, just so Stellantis doesn’t get sued for that very reason.
Still, as far as I’m concerned it’s pretty scummy to throw ads on your display to make even more money off you after you’ve already paid them tens of thousands for your vehicle.

And Stellantis (Dodge, Jeep, Chrysler) showing ads on your infotainment screen. (Not to mention all the other bullshit)
Can’t fucking build a car that doesn’t rattle apart after 5 years but they can sure squeeze every cent out of you and your info in the meantime.
I’ve already told my kids I don’t want a funeral, and I hate having pics taken of me but I try to get a few every so often so that they have something to remember me by. I have a few pics of my parents and grandparents when they were alive and it’s nice to be able to see where I came from.
Well nobody around me has alzheimers… and by the power of egg salad sandwiches I’m going to do my part to make sure they never do.

The world needs more people like you. I’ve been feeding a bunch of stray cats this summer, trying to make friends with them to bring them home for the winter. (It gets cold up here in Canada)
It’s crazy how many people just don’t seem to care about animals. It’s really nice to see there are some who do care.
This is No Effort November so it’s safe to assume he’s not putting a ton of work into this one.

If anyone could pull that off, it would be Robin.

Yup. If you really need to check something on there, there is an extension for your browser (Chrome and Firefox) that will redirect you to an alternative privacy-friendly frontend. https://libredirect.github.io/

Accidentally spill water in your bed and the next thing you know you’re getting adult diaper ads on every device you own for the rest of your life.
If they actually believe that bullshit, chances are pretty good they’re already harming their kids psychologically at the very least.
Ah sorry, I totally misread that lol!
I think a lot of those are highly dependent on where a person went to school and who their teacher was, because some of them are pretty far out there.
Where did you go to school? I’ve never heard of either of those before.
Ya I get what you mean, it doesn’t always work out for everyone without getting the word out traditionally, but it does happen.
Personally I think advertising only goes so far before a company just starts looking desperate by saturating the landscape with ads. Maybe that’s just me tho lol
While some now invest in some level of traditional advertising, it’s not what made them big. As you said with Tesla, they only started advertising when people started realizing they were crap, and even then compared to other vehicle manufacturers they spend little. Go Pro used influencers and content marketing by their customers, the Dollar Shave Club made it to fame through viral videos.

I don’t know about that. Tiktok, Lamborghini, Tesla, Krispy Kreme, The Dollar Shave Club, Tupperware, Rolls Royce, Costco, Trader Joe’s, Go Pro etc all do little to no traditional advertising and do just fine.
Not that there’s anything wrong with some advertising to get the word out, but when you’re getting spammed with ads from every angle, that company starts feeling a little scummy to me.
Probably a good time to mention Anna’s is looking for people with extra hard drive space to help seed their torrent files, and are constantly looking for volunteers and donations to help out. If you even only have a little time or resources, any help is much appreciated to keep the archives collection alive. You can also find links to them their wikipedia page at https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Anna’s_Archive
