It was ok. It felt like it needed something. The basic ship was clunky feeling to fly and the weapons felt mediocre. The enemies didn’t feel fun to fight either. But it was fun with my friends. But I think that was spending time with them more than the game was. I walked away from the game not disliking it, but not having any particular interest in playing any more of it.
Even just the RTS games that never came out. Northgard is great on the deck!
Pretty much. If it works for the steam deck it should work for the desktop. There are some exceptions for some brand new games. But if you want to wait a week or two for new releases usually it’s fine.
Get some Darn Tough socks! I’ve been using them for years and outside of the initial purchase I’ve been rocking free socks!
I have a sit/stand desk and it’s great. I feel like my posture has improved and being on my feet all day bothers me less. I really want to get a small treadmill so I can walk and work. That would be the dream.
They do. Just not 3rd party.
I’m loving it. But most of the people I talk to were put off by eternal. It’s more of that Soni can get people not picking it up for it’s very expensive cost currently.
People are upset about doom. I’m enjoying it, the engine is crazy cool and I love how badass I feel playing it. I get that it’s not a super long game, but I’m ok with that. I like just hopping in, murdering demons and being badass for short periods of time.
I’ve been buying $80 for years thanks to being Canadian!
I have set up a steam family and created accounts for my kids. Other than only having one copy of some games or games not supporting family sharing it’s been great. I have control over the games they can see in their libraries and we can all play different or the same game with enough licenses at the same time. We often play valheim together.
I would put one on mine.
I really look forward to this. I’ve enjoyed all the borderlands games for at least a few hundred hours. Borderlands 3 was fun but the humor was rough…
OpenSuse with compiz going hard on an old laptop
I’ve had multiple instances where games performed better on Wayland than on x.
I honestly can’t think of a damned thing I’m weirdly good at. Maybe that’s my super power. Extreme averageness.
The LCD one is 512GB which hasn’t been an issue for them so far. They mostly just play valheim and portal/portal2, sticky business and snakeybus. I figure once they get older they will have access to more games and will need more space. But I’m hoping at that point they are involved financially in the purchase so they will have some control over what they get.
I bought two steam decks of which one was at launch and the other was the limited edition OLED one. Both of which get daily use. My kids play them regularly. I play them regularly. If my wife wants to get another computer in the future, I would probably recommend she get something cheap and buy a steam deck to game on. It works quite well for northgard!
Ha! Gottem.
