The einstar actually measures depth, so I can get measurements even if I scan the object from just one side. It stitches the measured points together by overlapping features, so it theoretically can scan infinitely large objects.

Have you adjusted the speed settings according to what the manufacturer says? LW-PLA can only be printed at a very low speed or else it clogs. It also needs constant speed. For example for colorfabb LW-PLA, I had to set all speeds to 40mm/s.

I don’t know any slicers that do it exactly as you described. I know that in OrcaSlicer you can print perimeters at set layer height, but infill only everey Xth layer.
