looks like for Chrome (if that even supports plugins anymore, who even knows anymore) and Firefox… looks like it could work

We really need a firefox addon to block reddit from google results automatically
Sony have always been a sh** company though, even as far back as their proprietary mini disc format.
Here in Australia I’m hosting a snow trip next week… there is still no snow in the mountains where we’re goin
Also f summer. Hayfever and bushfires suck

Lets thought experiment…
If I create a local AI, and train in all the music, images and assets from GTA5 and then prompt it to create a game, with the GTA5 storyline with screenshots of videos of each storyline point and outcome… Should that be legal? Should it suddenly make it legal if I add 1 extra image that is public domain and got blended into it a bit?
Whether it is legal now, and whether it SHOULD be legal are two different things.
The laws simply haven’t caught up yet… Just because AI blends up a bunch of images it was never given permission to use and you can’t trace where they were from, doesn’t mean it SHOULD be legal to do so. Thats the problem.

Or, these shitty ai companies could pay creators a small amount to use their content for training. What is the problem with that?
There is no incentive for anyone to create original content anymore if AI will just steal it. Id argue that is dangerous
Good luck with your Nvidia shares …
Don’t even bring open source into this. Open source isn’t about stealing work mate. It’s about sharing it. And very few people consent to ai using their data. I know it copied a huge amount of data from our own website, despite the copyrights on it.
The people who generally want this are generally people who don’t contribute much of value that AI will steal

Apple constantly produces crap (unless you are talking about looks). Case in point, every single one of their computer mouses… Even something common sense like placement of the power button eludes them. Their titanium laptops all had flaking paint and failing hinges, etc
They are good at producing good looking items, but, any schmuck could tell them they are overlooking basic BS. The only reason they get away with it, is because they produce a product which SEEMS well manufacturered

Completely missing the point… Given that Artists work was basically used to train AI, a lot of them in particular would be hesitant to pay for something which possibly uses some of their work they didn’t get paid for.
Also, when I as a consumer see AI has been used, it is closer to suggesting they took shortcuts to make the game

And you can use it legally too… It just integrates a lot. Basically, what Plex should have been…
The only bad thing is it can’t run in offline mode I found

The other issue i had honestly, is that the last few things i watched on there, turned out was from Australian TV anyway lol (like Rake, utopia).

I think what we really needed is laws to hold meta accountable.
At the moment there is a shitload of criminal incitement, and meta no longer moderates anything. That’s the real problem. Which is kind of why the bans are needed. But they don’t solve the underlying cause
The laws make sense, and, meta (and Murdoch media) are the two things that need more control over. Because it’s literally gotten to the point they’ve normalized criminal and abusive behavior

I wouldn’t even have a problem for paying for Netflix honestly, if the base plan was 4k.
But it’s not.

Stremio. And everything can be 4k hdr10

What’s not accurate about it
They literally are using training data and selling it without permission from the original authors
If you want to pretend like it’s actual intelligence, that’s up to you (I assume you have Nvidia shares you’re trying to protect).
But, it’s really just a legal piracy program at this point.

People just target macOS less.
Like Apple was shipping a year old vulnerable version of java at some point, and their update mechanism still sucks compared to everyone
The only reason it’s more secure at this point, is because they’ve made it extremely difficult to install things from outside the app store by default. If anyone else forced you to jump through as many hoops as they do, they’d be hit with an anti trust lawsuit

AI doesn’t think. AI is a marketing name… there is nothing intelligent about it
It literally is just a database of stuff it copied off the Internet and didn’t give people credit for
That’s the problem
AI isn’t paying people for using their information for training
The only reason it’s profitable at all by these companies is because it randomizes stuff so you can’t prove what components of your work something has copied

How does it slow it down?
AI for Art is basically a way for large companies to profit from other people’s work, and not pay for it (but mixing it up a bit). They could simply pay the artists for the assets, and it would be done faster…
Maybe the people whose work may have been stolen by AI wouldn’t be appreciative to pay for games that potentially use it instead of paying artists…
Also, its not a ban on AI work. It’s simply disclosure. Epic games is just trying to pick a fight about literally everything

That’s true… And its not a good thing either,
Yeah. But unlike the steam machine, completely locked down and possibly sold at initially no profit which is recouped in games.
And possibly won’t play older games you purchased
