Well if it’s “written off” of their taxes that means it’s taxes they don’t pay which is essentially paid by the rest of us in taxes we do pay. So yeah it should be public domain since we “bought” it.

Because there’s no way to fake the data that determines a photos age?…. or they just refute any chain of custody with regards to any actual photos. The conservatives would just scream fake or AI regardless of the actual truth and that would be the end of it.

I’m curious how you do this because I want to do something similar. Maybe even a dedicated screen near my servers running on a pi or similar.

Going after adguard for something like this seems like removing your nose to cure a cold. I mean WTAF?!?! This is beyond asinine. They have nothing at all to do with any of it. Do they even understand what adguard is?

You don’t crush the robot revolution, in Russia the robot revolution crushes you, apparently by falling on you.

I already share a name with a fairly famous (although now deceased) comedian so I doubt it.

Or just give all your money away to poor people. By my calculations that would be about $25k per poor adult.

Not to sound like a tankie but China has made smarter decisions with regard to power generation. The current shift away from renewables (and shift back to fossil fuel) AND more reliance on central power generation are great for billionaires but just dumb for every other reason. And with the what appears to be advancing in battery technology more distributed solar cells with local storage would free up more power for the power hungry data centers. Not to mention the AI programs there are not run by douchebags like Sam Altman and Mustafa Suleyman.
I also think the current path of AGI study via more advanced LLM research is the wrong path. A language generator is never going to be “smart”. But what do I know, I don’t have billions of dollars and lie constantly.

My brother and ex-wife were both psych majors so I’ve heard lot about this experiment. I’ll give it a shot. Mac, windows or Linux. I’m pan-OS-ual 😀

“Ask nicely and don’t be a twat” sounds like an awesome t-shirt.

Brain damage?

Nothing

Fuck Spez

I haven’t snooped on the traffic but at the very least it was encrypted back to google. And I wouldn’t be surprised if it was also signed somehow. If it was easy, somebody would’ve already cracked it, especially with all the brouhaha about them dropping support.

Yeah, anytime anybody asks this question that’s my first thought. Either that or like Shadowcat and the ability to phase through things.

I wish I could upvote this 100 times

I’m already on a bunch of lists. What’s a few more. I should collect them like steam cards.

Honestly I’d pay as much as $50 to unlock my Microsoft sync to CarPlay on my old explorer.
I’m not sure that’s possible with multiplayer games, at least the central server part. They could release the central server code as an open source project… that would be very useful. But MMOs need that central communication to even work. I mean I guess you could engineer some sort of peer to peer but I’ve dealt with weird firewall rules in various DCs I’ve had servers located in or god forbid the lack of incoming connectivity in peoples homes. Outbound traffic is usually fairly unrestricted so a publicly available server is the way to go architecturally.
